If the Bride is to be regarded as a Princess for the day, then it stands to reason that her Mother is Queen. The importance of the matriarch should never be underestimated for an instant. Almost as much - and often more attention is focussed on the Mother of the Bride, her dress, her shoes and bag but especially her hat.
If one is fortunate enough to have been invited to Buckingham Palace for tea with Her Majesty, then it is customary as on any Royal occasion to have the crown of one’s head covered. The opportunity therefore arises to look absolutely fabulous in matching hat and outfit. Good millinery should never be overlooked on such an auspicious event.
Traditionally, society has always followed the Royal circuit. So when Queen Anne commissioned Ascot Racecourse back in 1711 it quickly became a favourite destination. With society the need to look one’s best was forefront in the minds of the Lords and Ladies in attendance.
Herald & Heart have been at the forefront of designing and making bespoke and collection hats and fascinators for many years. Our designer, Tracey Mogard has pioneered many practices and techniques that are now standard within the hat industry.
Our hats are made exclusively in our Rye studio workshop where we have our own magical hat and accessory shop full to the brim with ready to wear hats for men and women as well as model millinery.
We also have an ever increasing number of hand picked shops and stores both sides of the Atlantic who we supply our collection hats to - including our own exclusive Herald & Heart outlet in Orlando, Florida.
Herald & Heart hats do not cost the earth, however they do offer an integrity of construction and finish that one would expect from a company passionate about their product.
